If you use PPTP for macOS Sierra, with the new update from Apple, PPTP was removed natively from the OS.The reasoning for this was quite simple; PPTP was insecure method of connection to a private backend. Following this update, 3rd party companies came into the scene to provide support for PPTP.

Mac Os Pptp

Lately I discovered that connecting to a VPN via PPTP option has been removed in the new mac os - sierra.I tried multiple application to do so - all failed.How can I connect to my VPN over PPTP?

The FlowVPN client is free (and works with any provider).

It supports PPTP and OpenVPN on macOS Sierra:

Just overwrite the FlowVPN server address with any server and it connects.
